Clean Emissions

The G1000 is manufactured for reduced emissions of greenhouse gases and other air pollutants. The base model is equipped to meet or exceed all current and scheduled US-EPA emission standards for large spark ignition engines, both stationary and mobile, and CARB (California Air Resources Board) regulations governing mobile generator sets are also satisfied. The G1000 emits fewer and more easily controlled emissions than traditional diesel gensets owing to the low carbon structure of natural gas and alternative fuels. The extra bulk and substantial expense of extensive exhaust aftertreatments needed to control diesel emissions are avoided. Finely tuned fuel-to-air mixture, exhaust gas recirculation, and a three-way catalytic converter—similar to that in automobiles—does the job.
